The app enables you to see augmented reality content at special events at the University of Illinois. It is also used to augment the content of banners, research posters, and more.

Developed by the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, this app is a great tool for teachers, students and parents to spark an interest in the wonders of science and technology. There are currently two augmented reality experiences in the app.

One allows you to see an animated beating heart on a T-Shirt and other items at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine.

The other allows you to see 3D protein molecules and a beating heart from a banner at the Bioengineering Building.

Of course, we want you to be able to try these even if you cant be at the event or location, so we have posted the necessary images and instructions at:

(There is a button in the app to take you to that link!)

Just download and open our free 3DVM app, point the target at one of the target images and watch the magic happen!

For the DNA experience, tap your screen to see the proteins and tap it again to see the beating heart (if your volume is turned up you will hear it beat, too.).

For the T-Shirt experience, just point at the T-Shirt! (Or anywhere the target image is printed)
